YSR Congress Party bags huge majority in Pulivendula and Kadapa by-elections, with opponents losing their deposits.

YS Jagan got 5,45,671 votes majority in Kadapa constituency and Vijayamma got 81,373 votes majority in Pulivendula constituency.

Jagan got a total of 6,92,250 votes, where as his opponents DL Ravindra Reddy from Congress and Mysoora Reddy from TDP lost their deposits.

Vijayamma got a total of 1,10,102 votes. Her brother-in-law YS Vivekananda Reddy, who contested against her from Congress, just secured deposit with 28,729 votes. Where as another opponent BTech Ravi from TDP lost his deposit.

Jagan's majority is the second biggest in the state and third in the country. Vijayamma bagged the second biggest victory from Pulivendula constituency.

Chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy accepted the defeat and said winning and losing are part of politics and sports.

PCC Chief D Srinivas said he expected this result.

TDP president Chandrababu Naidu said Money and Liquor won the election.
